Rebecca Pierce

The expressive brushwork of REBECCA PIERCE is filled with colour and grace. Exploring many artistic styles and subject matter, Rebecca's strength in colour, tone and texture often compel and excite their viewers. With the landscape themes Rebecca explores the large expanses of the Australian outback, focusing on conveying its awesomeness of scale, through compelling colour contrasting and texture to create a sense of perspective, the effect often miniaturising the intervention of humans and animals.

Active since 1980s, Rebecca frequently being selected as finalist of competitions in major cities along the East coast of the country. She has also exhibited in major cities for example, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and many more. In 2005, for her design of important community awareness and educational materials for this cause, she was awarded the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to child protection through Good Beginnings and the National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
