From a family hobby to an engaging business /

The little truck that brought us together
Something about this little truck, or the atmosphere… somehow all these came together and this place is beaming welcoming energy.
This photo was taken at a place call Wollombi Wines, a family business which started as a hobby. In 1994 Allyson, Peter and their children Simon, Chantelle, Sophie and Oliver started planting vines as hobby and family bonding time, over the years it grew into a business and they opened their cellar door in 2008.
Wollombi Brook begins life as Congewai creek in the Watagan Mountains and meanders through over 90 km of valleys to join the Hunter River near Singleton. Allyson and Peter’s land share 1 km of its banks. The densely grown banks of the river provide a haven for a large range of wildlife.
Today, Wollombi wine is not only a wine maker, they are also a place for local produce, wild life watching, picnic and camping! What a busy family!
